Non-Verbal Reasoning

Timing: 20 minutes

The Non-Verbal Ability measure is designed to ascertain the level of potential of the person in a non-verbal and non-numerical setting.  The questions are often displayed as a series of shapes, different sizes, sequences, patterns, shading, overlaying and switching.  A candidate is required to work out the only logical rule to the sequence or arrangement of shapes and then apply this rule to assess which one of the possible six answers is correct. The Non-Verbal Reasoning Test assessments tend to avoid using numbers or words and therefore are deemed to be more “culture fair”. For this reason they are often seen as a good measure of a person’s reasoning ability and potential.
